Remarkable Trees of Virginia
Awesome project.
Beautiful book.
People nominated their favorite trees.
And here it is!
Listen to co-author Jeff Kirwan chat about it.
My favorite tree story is about the live oak that was used at the site of the reading of the emancipation proclamation. Also: the crying tree.
As Jeff says: trees offer solace to humans.
Tree heroes that witnessed history.
If books had wings...
Yoko Ono's new book, FLY ME, becomes a kite. A massive massive kite, with messages
you'll want to spread into the sky. The paper is 100% recycled and the kite frame (comes with book) is made from hand-carved oak taken from a sustainable forest in New York State.
About $100, limited edition.
